Inaugural QOC Beach Games to kick off on December 20

Beach games lovers and amateurs have been invited by the QOC to register their names and details via a link set up on the QOC official website and social media accounts, that to get confirmation for participation in the Games.
 
The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has announced that its first edition of Beach Games will get underway from December 20 to January 2 at Aspire Park, Doha.
 
 
 
Beach games lovers and amateurs have been invited by the QOC to register their names and details via a link set up on the QOC official website and social media accounts, that to get confirmation for participation in the Games.
 
The participants will be competing in four beach sports, football, handball, volleyball and 3x3 basketball, as maximum 4 to 12 teams of men and women are allowed to participate in each sport.
 
The QOC Beach Games is a community activity that will help promote these sort of sports in Qatari society. The tournament is one of the community events and activities organised by the QOC annually to take all individuals of the society to greater standards of health and physical fitness.
 
The first edition of QOC Beach Games has received a solid support from a number of local organisations, including Aspire Zone (official partner), along with the official sponsors Vodafone Qatar, Sports Corner and Al Meera (as official supplier).
 
Qatar had also successfully hosted the 2019 ANOC Beach Games in Doha  officially known as the ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019 and was an inaugural international beach multi-sport event organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
 
It was held for five days, 11 to 16 October 2019, in Doha  with the opening rounds for certain events being held on 11 October 2019, the day before the opening ceremony on 12 October.
 
It had originally been scheduled to be hosted in San Diego, however, on 30 May 2019 it was announced that the Games were being relocated as the host city had not generated sufficient private funds. In 14 June 2019, Qatar was announced as the host of the 2019 World Beach Games.
