Indian Education Ministry announces cancellation of CBSE class 10 board exams and postpones class 12 exams

The Indian Education Ministry had decided to postpone the Class 12 exams and cancel all the CBSE board exams for grade 10. Almost all Indian schools in Qatar follows the CBSE board.
MES Indian School Principal Hameeda Kadar said that the board read about the new updates in Indian Media but have so far not received any notification from the CBSE. 
"CBSE will be sending all the principals its decision in few hours time. It will impact all the schools that follows the CBSE board of education,” she added. 
 
The Education Ministry in a press release held on Tuesday said: “The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.”
The government has said that the exams for grade 12 will be reviewed according to the situation on June 1 to decide new dates and will be giving out appropriate announcement at least two weeks prior the start date of the exam.
The earlier scheduled exam dates for standards 10 and 12 before this major update was from May 4 2021.
