Information Systems Department of the Ministry of Justice Obtains Digital Access License

The Information Systems Department of the Ministry of Justice has obtained the digital access license from the Qatar Assistive Technology Center (MADA), after the Ministrys website, in its new and improved version, passed the technical evaluation process for the digital access with the application of the global standards for digital access.

The accreditation obtained by the Information Systems Department enables access to digital, knowledge-based and service content for people with functional limitations, including those with disabilities and the elderly, in order to support independence of these groups and ensure that they receive all services on an equal basis with all members of society. Most of the Ministry's services today are available to the public electronically and through digital platforms in general. Within the framework of its plan for the digital transformation, the Ministry is also setting up the basis for an integrated services system that ensures access of different groups of society without obstacles.

Commenting on the occasion, Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry Khalid Mohammed Amin Ibrahim, said that the Information Systems Department was assigned by HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi to implement the directives of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani to facilitate digital services for users. Accordingly, the Department has been updating the Ministrys electronic network and technical structure within the framework of a comprehensive plan for digital transformation, during which the Ministrys website was updated in line with the objectives of the State's digital government plan and the Qatar Assistive Technology Center guidelines, aiming to ensure that all segments of society, including people with special needs and the elderly, have access to the Ministry's electronic services.

He noted that the website of the Ministry of Justice provides easy access to various services, including "Sak" services, through secure and updated windows in accordance with the best recent experiences, in addition to the availability of services to track transactions and end some of them electronically without the need to review the Ministry's external services centers.

He added that due to the privacy of the transactions provided by the Ministry, especially those related to preserving the rights and properties of individuals and the society, The Ministry is also in the process of updating some legislations to keep pace with the digital transformation plan and providing some powers such as adopting the electronic signature of some transactions and verifying the personal identity through visual communication instead of the personal attendance in the transactions that requires verification of identities.

He indicated that the "Sak" system currently provides more than 211 complete electronic services available through the Ministrys digital platforms and the Ministrys external services centers. These services include real estate registration and authentication services, which have been prepared in accordance with the requirements of electronic security, adding that preparations are underway to launch new e-services packages during the coming period.
