The General Cleanness Department carried out an inspection raid on street vendors in Msheireb and Mansoura districts, in cooperation with the inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Supervision Department of Doha Municipality, and Lekhwiya force.

Mr. Moqbel Madhour Al-Shammari, Director of the General Cleanness Department underlined that this joint inspection aimed to apprehend offenders, curb infringement of the state property and preserve the aesthetic appearance of all districts.

He further indicated that these inspections will continue on a regular bases to ensure the non-recurrence of such violations in the state, especially at the weak-ends as there will be ongoing inspections under a set program.

I the same vein, Doha Municipality, represented by the General Supervision Section, in cooperation with the Department of General Cleanness carried out inspections on street vendors, and a number of violations were detected. Such inspections will continue to limit this phenomenon which leads to the visual degradation of the landscape.
