International Union of Muslim Scholars confirms reports on Al Qaradawi’s death is untrue

International Union of Muslim Scholars on its official twitter account announced that news about the death of its founding President and scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi, which is being shared on social media is untrue. 
Al Qaradawi remained in the hospital for some hours and he is currently with his family members, added the tweet. 
On April 17th, Al Qaradawi had announced to his followers through Twitter that he was tested positive for Covid-19.
 
The official handled tweet said that “The general condition of His Eminence Sheikh Al-Qaradawi is stable. We ask God to complete his recovery and wellness.” 
The statement in Arabic language by the International Union of Muslim Scholars roughly translates as "what is rumoured about the death of the scholar Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the founding president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, is totally untrue, and that the virus is like a cold, and he only stayed in the hospital for few hours, and he is with his family."
