Katara, the Culture Village Foundation, has launched the 'Nuaino and Nowano' (we support and co-operate) campaign, which aims to distribute five tonnes of vegetables daily to help the needy individuals and families in Qatar during the pandemic.

The campaign is being organised by Katara in partnership with Qatari Farmers’ Forum and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS). It was inaugurated in the southern part of Katara on Saturday.

To benefit from the campaign, the needy people are advised to call 55470558 and 55449862.

According to Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara, the campaign comes within a series of charitable and community programs of Katara held in the past at many occasions, whether inside or outside Qatar.

He added that through these charitable initiatives and campaigns, Katara works to spread the culture of cooperation and solidarity between the various members of society and its structures.

Mona Al Sulaiti, Executive Director of the Volunteer and Local Development Sector of QRCS furthered that the Qatar Red Crescent’s volunteers are taking part in the distribution of the assistance provided by Qatari farmers through the Katara Forum for Qatari Farmers.

The campaign committee will reach all places in Qatar in response to the calls they receive from the people in need.
