The Culture Village in Doha – Katara, has winded up its online Eid al-Fitr celebration which provided the public different types of competitions and events via social media platform and website www.katara.net as part of going in line with the preventive and precautionary measures against coronavirus (Covid-19).
As a huge number of people took part in the most beautiful Eid outfit, the cultural festival decided to rise the number of winners to 17 instead of the previously set number of six. Katara also allocated a sum of QR1,000 for each winner of the competition for boys and girls up to 13. The attendees had to send their photo in the Eid outfit.
Katara quiz competitions also enjoyed a huge number of attendees from among the children, throughout the four days of Eid holidays. Each winner received a cash prize worth QR500. Another competition, which was entitled ‘Felicitate us on Eid and we give you Eid Gift’, witnessed as the people who took part in the event submitted Eid felicitation in Arabic or English. Three winners were selected daily for three days, and each winner received a prize of QR1,000.
In addition to that, the participants also enjoyed the amazing virtual fireworks that were displayed on Katara's website all the four days of Eid. These events and festivities were highly lauded and appreciated by the public and they conveyed their happiness for Katara’s great initiative throughout the event.
