Kids win top honours in Covid-19 drawing contest

Aim of the MME organised contest was to make children aware of preventative and precautionary measures needed to confront the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.

Children of various nationalities submitted some 285 drawings to the Voluntary Action Initiative Support Committee at the MME who have announced the winners of the contest that sought to educate participants on the necessary preventative and precautionary measures to confront the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.

 

The drawings that won the first five places in the recently held children's drawing contest were by Laura Ibrahim Zahir (first), Issa Saeb al-Dulaimi (second), Farida Ahmed (third), Bindiya (fourth), and Baisan Bawari (fifth), the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said in a statement.

Ten entries earned distinguished places, submitted by AlMaha Abdulrhaman al-Emadi, Kadheeja Noorman, Ghada Obaida Aljabai, Aynibrahim, Carlitas T Murtinez, Mansoor Mohamed al-Shershini, Elston Peter, Sathyonorayonoh, Sonit Puri, and V Chidvilas.

In addition, three drawings were selected in the category of outside participation.

These were submitted by AlZayen Fayez Sultan and Taleen Fayez Sultan (Kuwait), and Angelina Turkina (Russia).

The names were announced through the MME's social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

The aim of the contest was to make children aware of the preventative and precautionary measures needed to confront the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.
