Milipol Qatar 2021 commences at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre

Milipol Qatar 2021 has been commenced at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on Monday. This year the event is all set to host more than 143 local and international exhibiting companies.
The event, which holds under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani was launched in 1966 and offers the citizens and residents of Qatar different products and innovations that are exhibited by various global manufacturers and the region’s security markets. Milipol Qatar 2021 will be taking place until the 17th of this month. 
According to its website, DECC stated that, “Milipol Qatar attracts the biggest players in the global public and industrial security sector who use the event to showcase the latest security, safety, detection and prevention equipment, systems, and service innovations.”
Various global and well-known exhibitors will be partaking in this year’s exhibition event such as ABIMDE, Advantage Austria, Alfardan Automobiles Co. L.L.C and Barzan Holdings. This will give an exciting and thrilling opportunity for all the individuals visiting the exhibition in light of experiencing international industry players.
The exhibition event organised by the Ministry of Interior also plays a vital role in Qatar’s growing security needs, which lines efficiently with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

Although it is a free access, it is mainly reserved for security industry professionals.
The attendees will be given the permission to exempt from the current quarantine period they are in, and will be mandatory only to undertake one day quarantine.
Although such exemptions are put in place, the Ministry of Public Health will make sure that maximum safety for all the citizens, residents and the staffs during the ongoing event by ensuring the negative Covid-19 PCR tests are conducted, enforcing and maintaining physical distances, wearing face masks always, restricting and limiting the crowd, temperature screening and sanitising the venues every now and then.
The inauguration of the exhibition event came as a Stockholm International Peace research Institute report on Monday that made note on the increase in arms imports to Middle East states, especially focussing in the GCC region.
