Milipol Qatar 2021 to kick-off tomorrow at DECC

Under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, the Ministry of Interior is organizing the 13th edition of the International Exhibition for Internal Security and Civil Defence, Milipol Qatar 2021 Exhibition from 15-17 March at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center. On this occasion, the Milipol Qatar Exhibition Committee organized a press conference on Saturday, March 13, at the Officers Club Hall of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, to announce the launch of the exhibition.

Speaking at the conference, President of Milipol Qatar Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani said that  all arrangements have been completed for conducting the  "Milipol Qatar 2021", the leading event at international level in the field of internal security and civil defense, which is organized by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with Comexposium. 

He stated that this year's edition of the Milipol Qatar will provide the businessmen and investors a comprehensive idea about the future of the internal security and civil defense sectors after the pandemic. In addition to this, the expo will create an opportunity for them to be introduced with the new international partners for importing and developing technologies and systems that will enhance the preparedness of these sectors in the future. 

He pointed out that considering the state of Qatar as a leading destination for the major sports events, Qatar is trying to be benefitted from the latest technological systems that ensure the strengthening of the safety and security of the major international events, such as FIFA World Cup 2022.

Although the world is witnessing the current health related crisis, the current edition of the  Milipol Qatar could attract a wide number of the exhibitors that include 71 international companies from 17 countries and 72 companies from Qatar. The ratio of the new companies from the total participants is 53%. The Milipol Qatar 2021 will host five international pavilions representing Brazil, France, Germany, United Kingdom and United States of America and also there will be individual pavilions of international companies, which will ensure the provision of the wide range of the regional requirements. This event will be responding to a major part of the increasing security requirements of the State of Qatar, which comes in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. The Milipol Qatar 2021 that expects a huge turnout of visitors will be conducted adhering to all procedures and protocols of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of Covid19, He added.

The exhibition also will host three seminars that include educational presentations on security information and significant discussions by a numbers of thought leaders, where the focus of discussion will be cyber security, cyber threats and managing the security of major events.

He expressed his thanks for the confidence entrusted on their capability to draw new features for the security in Qatar and he thanked the sponsors of the Milipol Qatar 2021 who are the contributors for the success of this exhibition. For her part Marie Lagrenée, Milipol events Director expressed her pleasure in organizing the exhibition despite the challenges caused by the pandemic. She stressed that Milipol Qatar has reinforced its position as a pioneer in the field of security and safety equipment, adding that it is a good opportunity for visitors, buyers and official delegations to create new partnerships. She praised Qatar's role and its ability to provide a safe environment for its citizens, residents, tourists and visitors alike. She indicated that Milipol Qatar is in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, for a diversified knowledge-based economy, to create a society of peace, security and prosperity.
