Milipol Qatar 2021 Winds Up in Doha

The 13th edition of the Milipol Qatar Exhibition for Internal Security and Civil Defense closed today in Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The President of Milipol Qatar Committee Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahad Al-Thani, during a press conference, appreciated and valued the contributions of the sponsors, exhibitors, visitors and as well as the media persons for the success of the expo.

Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahad Al-Thani said that, this edition of the exhibition attracted 150 exhibitors from 17 countries, of whom, 54 percent of the exhibitors were participating for the first time, despite the pandemic, and this was a great achievement for us that we were able to organize this exhibition under the current circumstances.

The show featured 5 International Pavilions from Brazil, France, the UK, USA, and Germany along with participation of several individual companies from around the world and 73 companies from Qatar, he added.

Explaining about the participation of official delegations and the statistics of the Milipol Qatar 2021, Maj. Gen. Nasser Al-Thani pointed out that the exhibition was attended by several ministers, deputy ministers, police chiefs, undersecretaries, leaders of the gendarmerie and representatives of ministries from friendly countries, in addition to Their Excellencies the local ministers.

The total number of visitors reached 6,600 visitors and 235 media representatives covered the 3 days exhibition, in which the total value of the deals signed by the Ministry of Interior is QR 390.6 million, Milipol President added.

Concluding his words, the Milipol Qatar President announced that the 14th edition of Milipol Qatar will be held from May 24 - 26, 2022 in Doha.

 

Speaking in the closing press conference, the Milipol Events Director Marie Lagrenee, expressed her pleasure in the succeed of the organizing committee in conducting a successful edition of the Milipol Qatar in this very challenging time. She also stressed that the Milipol Qatar has become a leading exhibition in the region that attracted several international companies to showcase their products in the field of safety and security.

Brig. Saud Al Shafi, member of Milipol Qatar Committee had announced, during a press conference held today, a number of deals concluded by the Ministry of Interior on the last day of the Milipol Qatar 2021.

He said that the Ministry concluded several new deals on the third and last day of the exhibition, at a value of QR 218, 292,123, including cars, World Cup firefighting vehicles, equipment, supplies and systems for the Ministry of Interior in various service and security departments.

Al Shafi added that the total value of the deals concluded by the Ministry of Interior on the sidelines of the exhibition amounted to QR 390,579,940.
