HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari underlined the importance of addressing the issue of the Islamic cultural security at the present time as conflicts are still raging in some parts of the Islamic world, forcing millions of innocents to live in shelters that lack the simplest conditions of life, and while most of the Islamic world peoples are still seeking unity and solidarity and aspire for new horizons of integration and sustainable development.
In his speech at the opening of Ramadan program "Amenhum men Khawf" on Sunday, HE the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs noted that Muslim minorities are still seeking to correct the stereotypes that were inflicted on them by sectarians, which have been escalating lately to threaten the cultural rights of those minorities and destroy the forms of coexistence guaranteed by the laws in those countries.
HE the Minister noted that this difficult situation was accompanied by a wave of sectarian polarization, and a hidden and apparent struggle between religious references and a sharp division between their scholars who were divided to moderate, hard-line and centrist groups, indicating that each of these groups has worked hard in defeating the other and in occupying spaces in the media and social media platforms.

Therefore, HE the Minister added, raising the issue of Islamic cultural security has become a basic requirement for review and renewal, given its impact on the Muslim nations and their economic and social structure.
HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari noted that the concept of comprehensive Islamic cultural security is linked to all areas of the life of the Muslim nation, and it is a concept that is consistent with the message of Islam, in light of which Muslims in long periods of history have been able to contribute to human civilization, and Muslim societies have been able to host and assimilate many religious, cultural, ethnic and linguistic identities and draw with them paths of innovation, creativity and images of coexistence.
The link between the Islamic cultural security and identity and values is crucial throughout the history of Muslims, and through it the relations of Muslims with others were established, HE the Minister added.
According to the mechanisms of reviewing the concept of comprehensive Islamic cultural security, the Muslim nation was able to renew itself in order to accommodate the new facts and reconcile the differences between its internal factions, and it also succeeded in delineating the limits of its openness to others, HE said.
The "Amenhum men Khawf" program is organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs for the seventh year in a row.
The program's sessions is presented by a group of scholars of the Islamic world through the social media accounts of the Ministry of Endowments and the platform "Amenhum men Khawf", within the framework of the activities of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic world 2021.
