Ministry honours Qatari girl, Egyptian woman for presence of mind that saved lives

The General Directorate of Public Security, represented by the South Security Department, honoured the 12-year-old girl, Rimas Rashid Al-Afifa Al-Marri, to appreciate her efforts to save the life of her uncle who experienced a health emergency at home. She provided the necessary first aid for him and contacted the emergency service 999 asking for help.

The South Security Department also honoured Mrs Lara Ali Mohamed, an Egyptian national, in appreciation of her efforts in saving a person from drowning in the Sealine area while swimming, as she dragged him to the shore with the help of others.

The Department expressed its thanks and appreciation for such efforts urging all sea goers to exercise caution, take the necessary precautions, use security and safety tools, and not go to the beaches without knowing the area to ensure their safety.
