As the high school diploma exams starts today, November 30 and end on December 15, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Student Evaluation Department, emphasized the importance of following the precautionary and preventive measures inside and outside the general secondary examination halls in schools to ensure everyone's safety during the exams.

The Department also highlighted the necessity of adherence to the numbers permitted in the examination halls.

In preparation for the end of the first semester exams for the year 2020-2021, the administration held a meeting with school principals and supervisors at high school exams headquarters.

During the meeting, the following points were discussed:

• procedures followed in the secondary examinations and the need to implement them

• precautionary procedures followed inside and outside the rooms, where all public and private schools that apply national standards must fully adhere to the application of safety measures

• numbers allowed in the examination committees with the following terms:

- the number of students in classrooms must not exceed a maximum of 15 students

- the number of students in the sports hall must not exceed a maximum of 60 students

• procedures adopted to confront cases of cheating and handle such cases in light of the student evaluation policy

According to the Assistant Director of Student Assessment Department Iman Al Mohannadi, the Ministry makes it a point to inform school principals and committees about the procedures for the exam period to ensure that it is managed as required and to provide a safe exam environment for all students.
