Ministry takes action against travel agencies for hosting Umrah trips without approval

In its social media account, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) said that it took action against five travel agencies in Qatar for conducting trips to Umrah without getting approval before hand.
The ministry said that in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (3) of 2015 that regulates the practice of Hajj and Umrah services, the Hajj and Umrah Department seized five travel agents who initiated trips to Umrah without an approval.
The officials have referred these travel agencies to the competent authorities to take further actions. The administration emphasised the requirement for concerned offices and companies to abide by the provisions of the law.
