MME: 2101 tonnes of Qatari vegetables sold in April

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has announced that the fields for selling local agricultural products at Al Mazroua, Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Al Wakra, Al Shammal and Al Shehaniya of fresh local vegetables sold 2,101 tonnes in the month of April.
On Wednesday, the MME issued a statement expounding that the fields also a made a record of selling 726 tonnes of fruits, 394kg honey, 1,003kg of local dates as well as 1,123kg local mushroom.
In April, a substantial locally produced vegetables quantum of various types and varieties were on display at the yards in Qatar, and was highly favoured by the consumers.
The statement further added that the overall agricultural season has seen significant rise in the production of local farms, which have benefitted from the support from the entities concerned.
