MME takes action against company that has no environmental license

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Department of Protection and Wildlife, has taken action against a company for transporting construction filling materials without having a valid environmental license.
In a statement, the ministry said that the legal steps have been taken against the firm in order to preserve the environment of Qatar. The Ministry also highlighted on the significance of following all the essential environmental requirements and preserving natural resources.
This violation was recorded by the ministry in the Department of Protection and Wildlife's efforts for preserving the environment.
 
The Department takes efforts in working with monitoring and protecting wild and marine life in the country, enhancing and carrying out the plans for its protection, in cooperation with the designated officials.
It also catches environment-related violations on land, marine, and those committed by livestock farms locally called (Al Adhab). The violators have been referred to the designated authorities.
The Department also monitors quarries and crushers to limit the violations related to receiving prior permits for the extraction and transportation of construction filling materials and removing the causes of these violations by working jointly with the ministry officials.
