MoI books 412 individuals for flouting Covid-19 norms

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials booked 412 people in the country for violating preventive and precautionary measures that were enforced in order to curb the further spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19). 
 
Among the booked 412 individuals, 358 people were booked for not wearing face masks in the public, 50 were booked for not following social and safe distances, two were booked for permitting more than the maximum number of persons in the vehicle, which is specified as four individuals including the driver, except when they are from the same household. Two other people were found guilty for not having the mandatory Ehteraz application installed on their mobile phones.
 
 
All of the violated individuals were referred to the public prosecution. 
 
The measures are in accordance with the Cabinet decision and Decree Law No. 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the precautionary measures imposed in the region to limit the rapid spreading deadly disease.
 
The competent authorities urged all the citizens and residents to follow all the preventive measures kept in place to make sure their safety and the safety of other individuals in the country are assured.
