MoI concludes ‘tactical management of events’ course

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has concluded the “Tactical Management of Events” course for officers, which was conducted by the Ministry’s Officers Training Institute, in cooperation and coordination with the Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA) Office of the US State Department, with the participation of 19 officers from MoI and Lekhwiya Force.
The primary focus of the training program was to develop the skills of the participants in the areas of tactical management of special events, as the participants received the basic knowledge and skills that will ensure them to perform their work highly. During the course’s closing ceremony, Director of the Officers Training Institute, Lt. Col. Nayef Mohammed Al Mannai, commended the level of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United States of America in the field of training and rehabilitation, highlighted the significance of continuing this fruitful cooperation.
 
He also mentioned that in the past few years, the State of Qatar has become a global sports centre and has organised many leading events that require preparing competent men who can secure these events in the best manner, calling on officers to benefit from practical training and apply them while performing the tasks assigned to them.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Doha Phillip Nelson affirmed the depth of the distinguished relations between the two countries, which resulted in conducting this course within the ATA programme. He stated that this course, which deals with the tactical management of events for officers, is the second among five other programmes in the same field.
