MoI reviews progress of its 2018-2022 Second National Development Strategy

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) reviewed on Wednesday the results of the midterm report of its Second National Development Strategy 2018-2022. HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Commander of the Lekhwiya Force, Major General Abdulaziz bin Faisal al-Thani, and a number of general directors, directors of departments and heads of the relevant committees attended the meeting.
In the meeting held, Director of Planning and Quality Department at the ministry, Brigadier Abdul Rahman Majid al-Sulaiti and Assistant Director of the Department Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdulaziz al-Mohannadi, reviewed the strategic objectives of the ministry, and the development seen so far, whether in implementing the strategic goals or in achieving global indicators.
All of the developments, the achievements gained and the general results in the institutional performance standards, the programmes, projects and the operational plans implemented, the strategic performance indicators were reviewed as well.
 
Brigadier al-Sulaiti expounded that the significance of the report lies in its role in correcting and straightening the course of achieving the strategic goals and evaluating the realism of the measurement indicators in the first half to complete the follow-up of the second half of the strategy based on sound foundations and indicators, and submitting the final report at the end of 2022.
 
There were also discussions about the means of maintaining the progress made in implementing the strategy, and the related plans and programmes aimed at achieving the objectives of the Ministry of Interior in order to meet the requirements of security work.
Commending all the efforts taken by the departments and committees of the Ministry, HE the undersecretary of MoI directed to take the maximum efforts in achieving the aspirations of the strategy.
