MOPH Advises Everyone to Double-Check the Most Recent Changes to Qatar's Travel and Return Policies
- 3 years ago
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) advised all travelers to consult the official MoPH website for the most up-to-date information.
As a result of the new travel policy, which went into effect on July 12 and removed several limitations for fully vaccinated people, an increasing number of people are planning to travel over the summer vacation. On July 9, the policy, which had been announced on July 8, was amended again.
For the benefit of Qatar's expatriate population, the Ministry also posted the same message in several languages. Arabic, Tamil, Malayalam, Sinhala, and Hindi were among the languages used in the tweet.
“We advise everyone to keep abreast of the latest updates on Qatar’s policy for travel and return from abroad. For all updates on the travel policy, please click on the link below: https://covid19.moph.gov.qa/EN/travel-and-return-policy/Pages/default.aspx,” MoPH posted on social media.
Some sections were altered after the policy was first announced, such as the necessary necessity to pre-register before visiting Qatar, which is now optional.
Similarly, Sinovac, which was formerly on the conditional vaccine list, was eventually withdrawn. The necessity for children to be quarantined has also been modified.
As word of travel restrictions spreads around the world, it's a good idea to check the target country's official website before setting out on your vacation.
