The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has confirmed that COVID-19 vaccination is provided by invitation only according to the phased vaccination plan.
MoPH also highlighted the eligible groups who can receive the Covid-19 vaccinations and the process to get the vaccine shots. The Ministry has clarified that only the people eligible for second dose of Covid-19 vaccination are enabled to receive the shot at the Drive-through center located in Lusail.

To affirm and share information regarding the vaccination program to its citizens and residents alike, the Ministry has listed down few significant points about the Covid-19 National Vaccination program and they are available in different languages.
Currently, only people aged 50 and above regardless of their health conditions, individuals with moderate chronic medical conditions, additional healthcare professionals and other key workers in different ministries and industries, including teachers and administrative staff in education are eligible and are considered as the top priority in providing the vaccine doses.
“The vaccine is offered in all 27 health centres by invitation only according to the phased vaccination plan,” said the Ministry.
“The targeted groups will receive an SMS invitation to come to their health centre on a specified date and time,” the Ministry clarified.
The Ministry has prioritised vaccinating teachers and school administration staff at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
“Attending QNCC is by invitation only. The targeted groups will receive an SMS invitation to come to the vaccination centre on the dates specified for both their first and second dose of the vaccine,” the Ministry reiterated.
The COVID-19 vaccine is offered to other professionals and primary workers in different ministries and industries.
“The COVID-19 Drive-through Vaccination Center in Lusail caters only for people receiving their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will notify eligible people if their second dose will be administered at the COVID-19 Drive-Through Center or a health center,” said the Ministry.
“People do not need a time-specific appointment to attend the drive-through center, they can attend at any time during operational hours on the due day of their second dose,” it added.
It is also possible to travel abroad immediately after receiving the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The Ministry also further reiterated that exemption from quarantine arrangements apply as long as the return date from travel is 14 days after the second dose.
