MoPH hosts virtual workshop on health requirements for food safety

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) recently hosted a workshop, which was held virtually, on educating productive families of the general health requirements for food safety.
The workshop was conducted with joint cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs on how to make sure the safety of our food products, as 30 productive families took part in the event. This comes within the framework of joint partnership between both the ministries to develop the awareness of productive families of all health requirements to ensure the safety of the food products
 
During the workshop that was held remotely, a detailed explanation was given to all the attendees who took part in the program on the vitality of food safety, knowledge of microbial properties, types, growth factors, types of pollutants, sources of food contamination, food poisoning, general health requirements for the food establishment, and the proper way to purchase foodstuffs and the method of transporting and storing them.
It also expounded and emphasised the levels of the food chain, common mistakes in the kitchen, the health requirements for transporting, displaying and selling ready-to-eat food, cleaning, disinfection, personal hygiene, healthy behaviour, and other significant issues seen on a common basis.
