More than 600 inspections carried out and 28 violations reported in Qatar

The Municipality of Doha, represented by the Health Control Department of the Municipal Control Department, undertook several intensive inspections in Umm Ghuwailina and Al Doha Al Jadeeda that comes under the framework of the plan to intensify campaigns and tighten control over food establishments.

A total of 613 inspection round was carried out to make sure the extent of compliance with essential health requirements and sound practices by workers in these facilities were in place.

This inspection that was carried in different place resulted in issuing a total of 28 violations seizure records in the country. Follow up checks of these businesses were done to nake sure that they have amended their status and violations are removed and not repeated again.

Morning and evening field checks were also implemented at fish markets at the Corniche to make sure that the quality of the fish offered for sale and worker’s compliance with the health requirements and practices.

Inspection campaigns are at the moment being implemented in many places within the boundaries of Doha municipality and the industrial zone.
