Mowasalat moves into micro-mobility e-scooter services at Pearl-Qatar

Mowasalat (Karwa) - the major transport services provider in the country has entered into the micro-mobility business by launching e-scooters at The Pearl-Qatar.
Mowasalat which provides transport solutions in Qatar and a lasting customer experience par excellence has entered into the micro-mobility business by launching e-scooters at The Pearl-Qatar starting yesterday.
The hi-tech, app-enabled e-scooters are available for visitors and residents of The Pearl-Qatar as a practical means of transport. All users have to do is download the Falcon Ride app to unlock the scooters and they will be charged QR2 for unlocking and 50 dirhams for every minute of use.
The scooters are also available at 5 metro stations – West Bay, Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, Al Qassar, Katara and Legtaifiya as a last mile solution for metro commuters, according to a company official.
“We have partnered this great sustainable initiative as part of our strategy of connecting people with convenient transport solutions throughout Qatar. We constantly embrace more future oriented solutions to make our services easily and safely available for all. In a nutshell – we are confident to soon make Mowasalat (Karwa) part of everyone’s everyday life,” said Khalid Kafoud, Media & Government Relations Manager of Mowasalat (Karwa).
The new service is in collaboration with Falcon Ride and is supported by the United Development Company (UDC).
Hussain Abdulla, Co-founder and Managing Director, Falcon Ride remarked, “This launch with Mowasalat (Karwa) demonstrates the viability of collaborating with property owners and the public sector to provide electronic micro mobility transportation. We will look to engage with other corporates to advance our aim to provide last mile connectivity solutions which will support Qatar in meeting its FIFA World Cup 2022 and Qatar Vision 2030 goals.”
Mowasalat which provides transport solutions in Qatar, started its activities by providing integrated land transport services and solutions in October 2004, have continually grown in size, fleet strength, operations and expertise to provide total transport solutions and a lasting customer experience of customer service par excellence.
