Nakilat receives ‘Sword of Honour’ award from British Safety Council

The British Safety Council honours Nakilat by awarding the ‘Sword of Honour’ for the third time in a row. This prestigious award is given to companies that has excelled in maintaining the company’s health and various other risks that includes safety and environment.
Nakilat has constantly proven their agendas by indicating their fine commitments and dedications in operating to the highest international standards and effectively manage occupational health, safety, environment, and wellbeing within their firm. Amidst a world-wide catastrophe due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus (Covid-19), Nakilat has shown its exemplary work in handling and managing the welfare of the group.
Nakilat has ensured their plan and strategies throughout the pandemic assuring a safe environment for all the workers, contractors and visitors by carrying out various preventive measures to restrict the further-spread of the deadly disease and reducing risks. This was possible due to the robust systems and procedures in place that allowed the company to act swiftly in response to the situation and ensure its global operations remained uninterrupted while keeping its personnel safe.
‘Sword of Honour’ is an award granted to those firms that exemplify the wellbeing of the companies by enforcing healthy conditions and Nakilat was one of the few organisations in the world awarded for this category.
In order to compete for the Sword of Honour, the organisation first had to achieve the maximum five stars in the British Safety Councils health, safety and environmental management audit scheme in the period August 2019 November 2020. Nakilat had also remotely demonstrated to an independent panel of experts its excellence in health, safety and environmental management throughout the business from the shop floor to the boardroom.
