New headquarters of Residence Affairs Court inaugurated

The new headquarters of the Residence Affairs Court and Prosecution was inaugurated on Saturday. It is located next to the Research and Follow-up Department building.
The new headquarters was established in co-operation between the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC), the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
 
The inauguration was attended by the President of the Court of First Instance Dr Ibrahim Hilal al-Mohannadi, the Assistant President of the Court of First Instance for Criminal Affairs Ghanem Thamer al-Hamidi, the Head of the Residency Affairs Prosecution Ahmed Matar al-Dosari, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Shared Services Affairs Khamis Muhammad al-Kuwari, and Brigadier Engineer Mohamed Thani al-Madhahka, representing the MoI.
The building contains the latest devices, systems and information technology, to simplify work procedures, and provide distinguished services with the latest technology. The new building includes rooms for court sessions at the primary and appeal levels, administrative offices, offices of judges and prosecutors, and reception rooms for the public, which are equipped with digital display screens, in order to provide guidance services, as well as equipping the front offices and providing them with the necessary technical means.
The building was allocated by the Department of Research and Follow-up, and it was equipped and furnished by the Supreme Judiciary Council. The opening of the new building comes within the framework of the court development plan carried out by the SJC, which has so far included the opening and development of several other buildings.
