New Qatari Product logo unveiled by MoCI

The new logo which displays the Qatari flag has the words “Qatari Product” displayed boldly in both Arabic and English languages.
A new logo for purpose of branding and identifying all products made in Qatar was revealed yesterday by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI).
The unveiling of the new Qatari products logo was done in a video telecasted on MoCI’s social media channels while also mentioning the terms and conditions for using the new logo.
The new logo which displays the Qatari flag has the words “Qatari Product” displayed boldly in both Arabic and English languages.
Although the new Qatari Product logo can be displayed on all types of publications and materials especially for purpose of marketing and branding certain prior necessary approvals and official licenses have to be obtained by the manufacturers and producers, including sales outlets.
All approved manufacturers, producers and sales outlets of local Qatari products have been allotted a 6 month grace period to get the new logo endorsed on their products. MoCI was very clear in its instructions that everyone concerned are expected to adhere to the terms and conditions, including the given time frame of six months.
All locally manufactured and semi-manufactured products can apply the logo the product’s front cover packaging and/or any other side where it must be clearly visible to the consumer/buyer. The new Qatari Product logo can be pasted as stickers on shipping and distribution vehicles provided care is taken to ensure that the design has to be in proportion to the size of the shipping and/or distribution vehicle.
Furthermore, strict adherence to the design guidelines is mandatory and any changes to the shape/ content / color of the logo is not permitted, under any circumstances.
