Nine Home Quarantine Violators in Qatar Arrested

Qatar authorities arrested nine people who violated the requirements of the home quarantine, which they are committed to follow and are legally accountable for, in line with mandatory health procedures in the country, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced.

 

 

According to MoPH, the arrest of the nine individuals, who were all Qatari citizens, is in accordance with the precautionary measures in the country to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19) spread.

The violators who are currently being referred to prosecution are:

  1. Abdulrahman Ali Jumaa Al Buainain.
  2. Abdulrahman Mohammed Abdullah Taher Mohammed.
  3. Barki Badah Al Tawah Al Hajri.
  4. Faraj Nasser Faraj Al Saleem Al Marri.
  5. Aabdulhadi Jaber Hamad Jaber Jallab.
  6. Hamad Jaber Hamad Jaber Jallab.
  7. Saud Ali Ghanem Murshid Al Mannai.
  8. Khalid Ali Ghanem Murshid Al Mannai.
  9. Jaber Mohammed Taleb Kleifeekh Al Mankhas. 

To ensure public safety, the state officials urged all people under home quarantine in Qatar to abide by MoPH's directives. Relevant authorities reiterated that violators will face penalties stated in Article No. 253 of Criminal Law No. 11 of 2014, Law No. 17 of 1990 on protection from infectious illnesses, and Law No. 17 of 2002 on society's protection.
