No mask: Over 100 people in Qatar face action today for not wearing masks in public

In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has referred 107 people to the Public Prosecution on December 31, 2020 for non-compliance with wearing masks in places where they are mandatory.
A total of 25 individuals were reported for violating maximum number of passengers allowed inside a vehicle, which is specified as 4 including the driver, except for the members of the same family.

The competent authorities call on the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decisions in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) in society.
• wearing of face masks
• following social distancing
• restricting number of people in vehicles
Till now 4,398 people have been referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks and 277 people for not following the limit of people inside a vehicle.
