No masks: 139 people booked for not wearing masks in public

In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, 139 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for non-compliance with wearing masks in places where they are mandatory.

The competent authorities call on the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decisions in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) in society.
• wearing of face masks
• following social distancing
• restricting number of people in vehicles
Till now 4,692 people have been referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks and 277 people for not following the limit of people inside a vehicle.
