In light of the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Katara, a cultural village in Qatar, is waiving its rental and other fees to its lessees starting tomorrow, March 15, until further notice.

Business owners and investors with commercial spaces in Katara, including restaurants and cafes, are provisionally exempted from paying rental fees, as well as electricity and water bills.

Qatar has seen a drastic footfall decline in retail stores and major thoroughfares. The revenues of most businesses across the country plummet.

Katara has taken the initiative to express its wholehearted support towards its partners during the crisis caused by the global pandemic. The public institution aims to give them a relief and encouragement amid the unprecedented situation.
