Number of people booked for not wearing masks in Qatar now over 4,000

In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has referred 122 people to the Public Prosecution on December 28, 2020 for non-compliance with wearing masks in places where they are mandatory.
There were no reported violations for maximum number of people in a vehicle.

The competent authorities call on the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decisions in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) in society.
• wearing of face masks
• following social distancing
• restricting number of people in vehicles
Till now 4,105 people have been referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks and 252 people for not following the limit of people inside a vehicle, which is specified as 4 including the driver, except for the members of the same family.
