Over 400 violators booked for failing to keep up with COVID-19 precautionary methods

The officials of Ministry of Interior (MoI) took actions against those individuals who failed to maintain the Covid-19 preventive methods in Qatar and a total of 443 cases were reported. 
 
9 people were booked for violating the limit permitted in a vehicle, which is enumerated as four persons, including the driver, except for family members and 434 were found and fined for not wearing face masks in the public arena.
They were referred to as Public Prosecution for violations by the authorities. As of now MoI has referred thousands of people to the public prosecution for not having the face masks on.
 
In a statement MoI said, "In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating COVID19 preventive and precautionary measures in force.”
 
The statement further added that, "The competent authorities call on the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decisions in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus in society.”
 
Several warnings were issued frequently by the MoI and health officials regarding the usage of preventive methods and precautionary measures like wearing masks, maintaining the physical distances, limiting the number of people allowed in vehicles, and to abide the laws sanctioned in order to avert the further spread of the deadly disease and reoccur normalcy.
