Passenger Caught Smuggling Prohibited Pills at Hamad Airport, Qatar Customs Reported Today

Hamad International Airport customs seized a passenger trying to smuggle lyrica and captagon pills

The customs department in Hamad international airport has foiled a smuggling of prohibited pills, due to the suspicion  of a customs officer of one of the passengers. The local officials reported the incident on its website today.

Upon inspection of the passenger's bag, nothing was found, and the passenger's self-search was completed, where 397 lyrica pills were found, and 46 Captagon pills, and accordingly a seizure report was issued.

 

Another case of smuggling prohibited pills was reported last month by the Qatar Customs on its website.

​The customs in the air cargo and privates airports thwart the smuggling of prohibited pills on November 19, 2020. The contraband was hidden in one of the personal parcels, and upon inspection, it was found that there were 25 drug packs of prohibited pills with psychological effect hidden in a secret way inside the clothes. The number of seizures reached 1,400 tablets, and accordingly, a seizure report was issued.
