Prime Minister inaugurates Water Quality Monitoring Laboratory

The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani inaugurated on Monday morning the Water Quality Monitoring Laboratory of the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA" in Al Thumama area, as part of the State's plan to ensure water delivery with the highest quality to all parts of the country.

“Within the framework of the development and modernization plan adopted by the state, today we launched a water quality laboratory, which will ensure the delivery of highest quality drinking water to all regions of the state. This laboratory, which is a vital and important facility for our country, was designed according to the latest international standards in this field and is equipped with advanced technologies, most of which are environment friendly,” PM Tweeted.

 

The Prime Minister was briefed on the various departments of this laboratory, which was established according to the latest international standards in the field of drinking water quality and groundwater. The laboratory was built according to Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) and green building and the use of solar energy to heat, treat and recycle water for irrigation. It also relies on energy-saving electricity and water systems, in addition to a fast charging station for electric cars, and many other advantages.
