The Qatar Airways (QA) Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker on Tuesday said that the airline is expecting to receive its first three Boeing 777X jets in 2023 and expressed interest in a freight version.
During an online event, Reuters quoted Al-Baker: "We will take the 777X whenever it is ready, as soon as it is ready. I think Boeing has already notified us there will be a delay on the delivery of those aircraft until 2023 so in the year 2023 we will receive our first three 777X aircraft.”

Qatar Airways today became the world’s first fully COVID-19 vaccinated flight to depart from Hamad International Airport at 11:00 am boarding only vaccinated crew and passenger, with passengers also served by fully vaccinated staff at check-in.
