Qatar Airways is the first airline in the Middle East to test the IATA Travel Pass

In alliance with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Qatar's Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Corporation, and Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Airways (QA) has become the first airline in the Middle East to launch trials of the groundbreaking new IATA Travel Pass "Digital Passport" smartphone app.
Passengers on QA's Doha to Istanbul routes were the first to use the 'Digital Passport' app, which aims to help the airline achieve its goal of providing passengers with a more contactless, safer, and smooth travel experience.
Passengers who buy an IATA Travel Pass can receive up-to-date updates on COVID-19 health standards in their chosen destination, as well as comply with stringent global data protection regulations that allow COVID-19 test results to be exchanged with airlines to ensure they are authorized to fly.
