Qatar Airways office in Bangladesh temporarily closed

The office of Qatar Airways has been temporarily closed since large number of customers recently came to its office hindering social distancing.

In this situation, they requested customers for booking flights online through emailing them, said a press release.

Qatar Airways recently received approval to operate flights to and from Bangladesh from June 16, operating three flights per week.

Following a NOTAM put in place almost three months ago on March 22, a large number of passengers had bookings that could not be used.

However, the airline must also apply the civil aviation rules in Bangladesh for a restriction of 25 per cent of seats remaining empty on each flight to maintain social distancing.

As there had been a high demand from customers looking for tickets, a large number of people came to Qatar Airway’s office in Bangladesh to book tickets and unfortunately did not observe strict social distancing.
