Qatar Cabinet Holds Weekly Meeting

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said the following statement:

At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and affirmed the continuation of implementing the precautionary measures in order to combat this pandemic. After that, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First, Approval to reform the Board of Directors of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFC Authority) headed by HE Minister of Commerce and Industry.

Second, the approval of:

1- A draft agreement for mutual inclusion of the lands in the satellite service area between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Turkey, for the satellite networks regulated by Appendices 30 and 30A of the Radio Regulations (RR).

2- A draft agreement for mutual inclusion of the lands in the satellite service area between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Turkey, for the satellite networks regulated by Appendix 30B of the Radio Regulations (RR).

 

3- A draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of endangered wildlife conservation and preservation of its natural habitat, between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Third, the approval of participating in the Hannover International Industrial Fair (Hannover Messe of the Federal Republic of Germany - from Apr. 12-16, 2021).

Fourth, the Cabinet reviewed the results of the permanent Preparatory Committee at the ministerial level of the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority, and took the appropriate decision in their regard.
