Qatar Central Bank announces bank holiday on March 7

The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has declared March 7, 2021, to be an official holiday for all banks and financial institutions under its regulation.
The QCB said in a press release that the closing of banks, money market sites, equity and financial institutions, insurance firms, and insurance broker firms on this date is in accordance with the Council of Ministers Decision No. (33) of 2009. The decision states that the first Sunday in March of each year will be an official holiday for all banks working in Qatar.
Both of these institutions will reopen on Monday, March 8, 2021, according to the announcement.
