Qatar Charity honors Qatari School’s top students in Albania

Under the patronage of the Qatari Embassy in Tirana, the capital of Albania, Qatar Charity (QC) honored the outstanding students of the Qatari School, as well as the top students, who are under its sponsorship.

The honoring of the students took place in a ceremony attended by Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Evis Kushi and Qatar’s Ambassador to Albania Ali bin Hamad Al-Marri, in addition to many dignitaries, officials of humanitarian organizations and government agencies, professors, educators and parents.

During the ceremony, 110 male and female students of the Qatari School and those sponsored by Qatar Charity in Albania were honored. Some 11 students obtained more than 95%. Besides, 45 university graduates, who had previously been sponsored by Qatar Charity, received the honoring. The list of honored graduates includes those who studied medicine, engineering, computer science, media, and other prestigious academic disciplines within and outside of Albania. 

Speaking at the ceremony, the Qatari Ambassador Ali bin Hamad Al-Marri expressed his gratitude for Qatar Charity's continuous humanitarian and developmental efforts and for its clear impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, thanking donors in Qatar for supporting the Albanian people.

Minister of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania Evis Kushi, expressed her delight with participating in the ceremony, thanking  Qatar Charity, which supports educational and other projects in the country.

 

At the end of the ceremony, the Qatari ambassador along with Minister and other officials, presented awards and certificates of thanks to the outstanding students, wishing them further and continued successes in their studies.

It is worth mentioning that the passing rate of the Qatari School’s students for the year 2019-2020 is one hundred percent. All the students have joined public and private universities.

In addition to its efforts at the Qatari School, Qatar Charity’s office in Tirana supervises two other educational projects, which benefit more than 2,000 students yearly.
