Qatar Charity’s “Future’s Writers”: an opportunity to discover and nurture young talents

Qatar Charity (QC) organized a symposium on the “Future’s Writers” program, allowing the participants to discuss the outcomes, benefits, and impact of its previous four editions.  

The symposium was attended by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Harami of Eadad International Academy, Mr. Muhammad Al Balushi, Director of Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib Preparatory School for Boys, Dr. Imtenan Al Smadi of Qatar University, and Mr. Majdi Abdul Khair El Din, the father of a winner student who participated in a previous edition.

The symposium, moderated by Iman Al Kaabi, a media person, discussed the importance of the program in discovering the talents of students and developing their creative writing abilities.

Dr. Abdel-Rahman Al-Harami said that the “Future’s Writers” program is a wonderful idea and it may be the beginning of an eminent writer, urging parents to encourage their children to read and write stories while they are young. He also emphasized the importance of the role played by a family in developing children's skills.

Mr. Muhammad Al Balushi, Director of Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib Preparatory School for Boys, said the “Future’s Writers” program brings out the talents of students and fosters a spirit of competition among them. He also expressed his happiness to participate in this program and his school's willingness to contribute to discovering young talents.

Mr. Magdy Abdel Khair El-Din, the father of the winner student Al Bara, described “Future’s Writers as a wonderful and unique program”, noting that it develops the skills of participants by holding various workshops and leaves positive impact not only Al Bara, but also on all his children.  

Imtenan Al-Smadi of Qatar University, spoke about the university’s participation in the program through holding workshops, indicating that it received a good response from the university’s students, because they trusted in receiving good training in writing as part of the program. She hoped that the current edition of the program would achieve greater success.
