Qatar combating corruption as path to sustainable development

Qatar International Anti-Corruption Day 2020
The State of Qatar took part in a webinar on combating corruption as a path to sustainable development, organised by Jordan’s Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, celebrating the International Anti-Corruption Day 2020.
 
President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) H E Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad represented the State of Qatar in the Webinar.
 
 
H E Al Misnad said in his  speech at the webinar: “The State of Qatar is proud of the achievements it has made in the areas of promoting integrity, transparency and preventing corruption, thanks to the vision of our wise leadership in upholding the values of integrity and transparency, and making them a priority in Qatar’s national and international policies, and also thanks to the sober values of our well-established society, which made Qatar occupy a high position among the best countries in the world in terms of transparency and integrity.”
 
He went on saying: “The State of Qatar has adopted its comprehensive vision for development through the Qatar National Vision 2030, considering that comprehensive development is the primary goal to achieving progress and prosperity for citizens, as the national vision aims for Qatar to become, by 2030, an advanced country capable of achieving sustainable development and ensuring the continuation of a decent life for its people.”
 
He also clarified that the State of Qatar’s commitment to joint regional and international action comes in the interest of humanity in various fields, including the areas of promoting integrity, transparency and combating corruption, pointing that it is a firm commitment that makes it always extend a helping hand to its brothers from Arab countries and world countries as well as humanity as a whole.
