In the implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar's aid continued to be transferred to support people in Sudan affected by the floods that swept through 16 states of the country.
The Qatar Fund for Development, in coordination with the Standing Committee for Rescue and Relief Works and Humanitarian Aids for Afflicted Areas in Brotherly and Friendly Countries, sent a new batch of aid amounting to 46 tons of various medical and relief materials, bringing the total aid to 88 tons, carried by a Qatari Amiri Air Force aircraft, accompanied by a team from the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group (Lekhwiya).
