Qatar duo plunges to fourth on global rankings

According to the latest position issued by FIVB yesterday, Qatar’s volleyball team duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan plunged to fourth position in the global beach volleyball rankings.
The pair improved their ranking after gaining 5,520 points following their silver medal run at the Sochi 4-star stop on the 2021 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.
A medal in Sochi was Qatar team’s eighth medal including two gold, three silver and as many bronze medals on the World Tour.
Meanwhile, Norway’s Anders Mol and Christian Sørum are on top of the world rankings with 7,760 points, followed by Russia’s Krasilnikov and Oleg Stoyanovskiy on second position with 6060 points.
