The Indian Embassy announced today on its official Twitter account that the air bubble arrangement between India and Qatar will continue until December 31, 2020. It  also expresses its gratitude to the Civil Aviation authorities of India and Qatar for the said continuation of flights.

The Embassy added that its efforts to facilitate movement between the two countries will continue.

Qatar-India air bubble transport arrangement has been extended by another two months until end of the year.

Both nations established a bilateral "air bubble" to enable airlines to fly passengers between the two countries for an initial two weeks in August. This transport arrangement was then incrementally extended.

The following categories of persons will be the only ones permitted on such flights:

It would be for the airlines concerned to ensure that there is no travel restriction for Indian nationals to enter Qatar with the particular visa category before the issue of ticket/ boarding pass to the Indian passenger.

B. From Qatar to India

• Indian nationals stranded in Qatar.

• All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding Qatari passports. and iii. Qatari nationals (including diplomats) holding a valid Visa issued by an Indian Mission in any category covered under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines dated 30.06.2020.

Both Indian and Qatar carriers will be permitted to operate flights between India and Qatar during the said period.
