Qatar is experiencing hot weather today with 44°C maximum temperature with dusty conditions

The Department of Meteorology announced today that Qatar is experiencing hot weather with slight dust to blowing dust at times.
It added that wind is Northerly fresh to strong and marine warnings remain in effect.

The weather official also stated that the temperature in the country reaching 44°C currently as northerly windy conditions continue reaching 32 kt in Turaina according to latest observations. It advised everyone to be careful and avoid direct sunlight.

It is advised to take extra care as some weather stations are reporting low visibility below 2 km as northerly windy conditions continue exceeding 30 kt in some areas. Wind speed expected to decrease gradually by night.
Here are some safety precautions during hot weather condition:
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing to reflect sunlight
• Drink plenty of fluids
• Don't leave children unattended in a vehicle.
• Outdoor workers should take a rest and have some breaks under a shaded area.

• Wash face, nose, and mouth regularly
• Wear a mask
• Avoid rubbing your eyes

Wave height ranges between 6 to 8 Ft with Northwesterly wind speed reaching 28 kt, according to the latest observations. Everyone is urged to avoid going to the sea by this time.
Local authorities call on all members of the society to stay at home, only leave the house when necessary, and maintain social distancing to ensure their safety against the coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.
It also urged the public to adhere to the compulsory implementation of wearing face masks and downloading of EHTERAZ Covid-19 tracker when leaving the house as hefty fines and imprisonment will be charged to perpetrators.
