Qatar, Lebanon Sign MoU to Reconstruct Old Building of Karantina Hospital in Beirut

The State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), singed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lebanese Republic, represented by the Ministry of Health, to reconstruct the old building of the Karantina Hospital in Beirut.

The MoU comes within the framework of the pledges made by the State of Qatar after the explosion of Beirut Port on August 4 last year, to provide aid to Lebanon, and to follow up on its previous pledges, in implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at Paris International Conference, allocating $50 million to support the brotherly Lebanese people after the port explosion.

The MoU also comes in the framework of the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.

 

The MoU aims to reconstruct and equip Building (B) of Beirut Governmental Hospital - Karantina, which was completely damaged as a result of the explosion.
