Qatar Maintain Spot in FIFA Rankings

Qatar has maintained its 55th spot in latest FIFA rankings.
 
Al Annabi have a tally of 1396 points compared to 1413 points for Cameroon who are ranked 54.
 
Finland is slotted at 56th place with 1390 points.
 
After a more than six months hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international matches have finally recommenced with UEFA Nations League games across Europe at the beginning of September, which had an immediate impact on the world ranking.
 
But there has been no change among the leading quartet – Belgium, France, Brazil and England remain the top four in that order. Portugal has moved into the top five thanks to victories over Croatia (8th, down two) and Sweden (18th, down one).
 
In Asia, Qatar is ranked fifth in Asia. The Japanese team is ranked at the top of the Asian sided.
 
Japan are ranked 28th in the world with 1500 points.
 
Iran are second in Asia and 30th in the world. South Korea are third in Asia and 39th in the world.
 
Australia are fourth in Asia and 41st in the world.
